  1. Set Goals: Having a goal gives you something to work towards. Make it actionable, trackable, and achievable. Set a goal to swim 15 times in January. Take a step back and look at the entire month to plan what days you are going to swim. Having a plan helps you reach your goals! Keeping a log of each swim, and tracking your progress makes your goal much easier and attainable.
  2. Focus On Technique: Set aside time in every swim workout to focus on your stroke technique, kicking skills and body positioning. Before you swim, watch videos or read some articles on how to do this.
  3. Protect Your Time: During the week, you may feel stretched on time. Follow a plan that sets all your workouts ahead of time for you. This way, you are more able to fit them into your hectic schedule than you thought. You’ll know exactly what you’re doing for the week and how long each workout is.
  4. Stay Focused: By having a plan ahead of time, you know exactly what you’re going to do and when you’re going to do it. One of the worst things that can happen, is to only swim when the mood hits you (or not at all). A plan will keep you focused on where you’re going.
  5. Stay Motivated: Connect with friends or family to keep you excited! Join the Global MySwimPro Community and you’ll feel inspired everyday. By adhering to a weekly schedule, you may find that you are staying motivated between and during every session more so than if you didn’t have a plan.
