Christmas is almost here! Treat yourself or your favorite swimmer to something they’ll love–in and out of the pool.
The ultimate gifts for swimmers
We’ve got you covered with the ultimate list of 10 gifts that we think every swimmer would love. What’s even better is that they fit a wide range of budgets, depending on your style, brand and type. Check them out!
1) Smartwatch or fitness tracker
Welcome to the future of swimming. Hook your favorite swimmer up with a smartwatch that helps them track their swims, heart rate, splits, distance, and even coaches them through workouts set-by-set.
Just remember that every athlete is different and so are the wearables that are on the market. Take a look at which ones work with MySwimPro. If you aren’t totally confident in picking a specific device out, a gift card for MySwimPro ELITE and a watch will do 🙂
Bonus idea: a waterproof phone case!
Every swimmer loves getting suits! Why? Because wearing a fun new suit makes jumping in a cold pool more enjoyable. (Case and point, these fun cactus suits from Funky Trunks ^)
Put a pep in their step and add some new color to your loved one’s suit wardrobe:
- So many options of colors and prints!
- Wide range of quality & pricing
- Switch it up! If they only wear one-pieces, gift them a 2-piece for their next outdoor swim.
- Holiday or themed suits are always fun
Raise your hand if you go through towels like no other? 🙋 The more towels you own = less laundry. Gift your swimmer a fun beach towel, and they’ll love you forever.
Bonus points if it has a unique print on it, is embroidered with their name (just in case it gets lost at a swim meet) or if it has a hood attached to it.
Other great ideas:
- Swim parka or jacket
- Travel-sized towel that dries super quick
Again…. you can never have too many pairs of goggles. I like to keep a pair in my car, one at the office, and one at home just so I’m always ready for a swim. It’s also great to have a backup pair in case one gets too scratched or breaks.
There are so many brands and types out there, so you’ll want to do some research. But I recommend darker-tinted ones for outdoor swimmers, and clearer ones for indoor swimmers.
5) Swim Cap
If you have longer hair you’re swimming without a swim cap… I give you kudos! That is hard! Make it easier on yourself and tuck all your hair back into a swim cap. I promise you that it will make your swimming more enjoyable. Here are our tips for choosing a swim cap.
If you have shorter hair and just want to protect it from chlorine, a swim cap will do the job.
6) Massage Gift Certificate
Make your favorite swimmer’s life easier with a gift card to a massage. They will love you, FOREVER! This is a really heartfelt gift that lets them know how proud you are of all their hard work they’ve achieved in the pool.
Other great ideas:
- Facials (perfect for outdoor swimmers exposed to sun)
- Dry-needling treatment
- Manicure + pedicure (pool feet is the worst!)
