It was exciting to attend USA Swimming’s fourth annual #SwimBiz marketing conference. The three-day event was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado and featured keynote speakers from industry leading sports marketing professionals and the top swim clubs across the United States.
Thank you to USA Swimming for inviting me to speak at the conference this year. My topic for discussion was Networking 101: How to Build Partnerships through Social Media.
I shared examples of how club teams and organizations can leverage different social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to build partnerships. In the presentation I highlighted our partnership with Masters Swimming Canada.

This year’s conference featured a special Flex Membership Workship that is a new family-friendly membership option USA Swimming is offering this year. “Every year we strive to present attendees with trending, industry-leading and membership-engaging topics to help grow thteir businesses and their base” USA Swimming Chief Marketing Officer Matt Farrell.

The conference is a very social event and included a food truck networking event and the #SwimBiz Club Marketing Awards at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. On Tuesday we held our weekly #AskASwimPro show with #swimbiz attendee and special guest Jessica Cooper.
Jessica is the Executive Director of the Georgia LSC and award recipient of the LSC of the Year by USA Swimming. On the #AskASwimPro show, we talked with Jessica about Women’s Leadership conference she attended before #SwimBiz and her awesome vision board. You can watch the show here:
